On October 28th, the final of the second National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, with the theme of "Intelligence Empowering Development, Innovation and Leading the Future", concluded in Yantai, Shandong. This competition is jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the People's Government of Shandong Province. It is the largest, highest level, and widest coverage national postdoctoral competition held since the implementation of China's postdoctoral system. It is a concentrated display of the favorable development environment and work achievements of postdoctoral talents in China. This competition attracted a total of 6206 postdoctoral projects and 25000 participants. After pre selection recommendations and national finals, 1530 team projects were shortlisted for the national finals. During the finals, under the guidance of an expert guidance committee consisting of 12 academicians and 11 technology-based entrepreneurs, 252 judges and experts evaluated the participating projects. The competition produced a total of 55 gold awards, 109 silver awards, and 164 bronze awards.
Dr. Tian Jiyu, representing South China University of Technology and Zhenhai Intelligent Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., won the Silver Award in the Innovation Competition for the project "Key Technology for Welding Manufacturing of Complex Extreme Working Condition Underwater Robots".
Team leader Wang Zhenmin, professor and doctoral supervisor at South China University of Technology, and director of Guangdong Intelligent Welding Manufacturing Equipment and Robot Engineering Technology Research Center. Engaged in long-term research on high-performance welding power sources and welding automation, leading the team to receive continuous support from more than 60 projects, including national key research and development and the National Natural Science Foundation (including one key supported project); More than 10 achievements have passed third-party appraisal/evaluation, all of which have reached the international advanced level, and the core technology has reached the international leading level. Published over 150 papers with collaborators and indexed over 70 times by SCI/EI and other journals; Authored 2 academic monographs, received funding from the National Publishing Fund, and was selected as a key publication for the 13th Five Year Plan; Participated in the development of 2 national standards; More than 100 intellectual property rights have been authorized to countries such as the United States, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and China; More than 20 scientific research awards have been won, including the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, China Patent Excellence Award, Second Prize of Ministry of Education, Second Prize for Technological Invention of Guangdong Province, and Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Guangdong Province. The research work was featured on the front page of Science and Technology Daily as one of the 35 "bottleneck" technologies, and was highlighted by People's Daily as a representative innovation achievement of the 22nd High Tech Fair. It has also been repeatedly presented as a typical innovation achievement to national leaders such as Li Xi and Sun Chunlan, receiving high recognition.
Project leader Tian Jiyu, Ph.D. from Jilin University, postdoctoral fellow at South China University of Technology, and founding team member of Zhenhai Intelligent Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., has been engaged in research on robot welding technology, underwater welding, and welding intelligence for a long time. More than 20 patents have been granted successively; Published over 20 SCI/EI papers and served as a corresponding reviewer for journals such as Materials Science and Engineering A; Hosted 5 longitudinal projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Represented Zhenhai Intelligent Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. in drafting two national standards for underwater welding. The research results have won 5 awards, including the Excellence Award in the Advanced Technology Transformation and Application Competition and the Silver Award in the Greater Bay Area Doctoral and Postdoctoral Innovation Competition.
The founding team of Zhenhai Intelligent Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., as the main members of the award-winning project team, researches and develops core key technologies for underwater welding, breaks through the bottleneck technology and engineering problems in the field of underwater robot welding, and devotes itself to the manufacturing of underwater robot welding in our country, helping the Chinese nation's dream of becoming a maritime power.
