On March 18, 2024, the National Standards Review Meeting of the National Welding Standardization Technical Committee was successfully held in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. This conference is hosted by the National Welding Standardization Technical Committee and organized by Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. and the National Petroleum and Natural Gas Pipe Engineering Technology Research Center. More than 60 welding enterprises, research institutes, universities, industry associations, testing and certification institutions, including Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai), Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai), Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, South China University of Technology, China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd., AVIC Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials, Zhenhai Intelligent Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., Lanzhou Lanshi Testing Technology Co., Ltd., as well as 80 committee members and experts, attended the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Secretary General Lv Xiaochun of the Welding Standards Committee. Director Yang Yuting of the Welding Standards Committee briefly summarized the achievements of the Welding Standards Committee in 2023 and made work arrangements from the aspects of existing standard review, standard technology innovation, and construction of a new standard system around the requirements of the second batch of national standard system optimization work. The meeting reviewed the drafts of five national standards for review. The members listened to the report of the drafting working group on the standard preparation process, core content, and handling of the solicitation of opinions. The above standards were comprehensively reviewed in terms of scientificity, progressiveness, applicability, etc. After careful and careful discussion, they unanimously agreed that the drafts of five standards for review passed the technical review.
